Rated Battlegrounds in Cata: How exactly will this work?

I've read a few articles about rated bgs, but I'm still unsure on exactly how it'll work. Will it be just like arenas where you have preset teams? Or will it just be based on personal win/loss records? Will we be able to queue solo for rated bgs?

The last information said that you have to queue like a premade with a full team but you won't have to actually have a team with a charter and a name like arena. They originally said they were going to allow people to queue solo or with any number of people but changed their minds apparently. Cata isn't out yet, though, so we shall see.

For arena's 5v5 was always my favorite bracket because it was more chaotic then 2v2 half hour games. But getting the same 5 people to show up every week for games was ridiculously difficult. I hope it's just premade but without a team so you can grab whomever and go. But if you always have to have say 15 for AB, that'll suck :\

imo, we stack mages and play heavy ramp D opening. Send TZ with a healer and a CC class to FR. Then move up and control mid.

Loved WSG. Pugging now makes me very sad. Would love to play again in premade vs premade. One of the most fun times playing WoW.

the problem with pvp (be it rated bgs or arena) is people dealing with losing, sometimes repeatedly, by some teammates fault. Easier to take when its the computer that beats your team but even harsher when its against some other team of people.
IMHO it's not that easy to take in for the general wow players and it will run into similar issues as arena did.

I don't know if his bark was bigger than his bite (I was horde so I never played against him), but Atomik was definitely a massive narcissist and most likely a pathological liar. So yeah, I was impressed in a way.
